What this guide covers
How to respond when an event organiser invites you to a performer or volunteer opportunity on Floasis.
Before you start
- Sign in to Floasis.
- Organisers can only invite you for matching if you have made yourself available for organiser invitations on your profile.
- This is separate from applying yourself — see Find and Apply for Event Opportunities.
Teaching invitations from organisers are not available yet.
Steps
1. Find your invitation
- Open Opportunities (/portal/opportunities) or follow a link from your invitation email.
- Locate the invitation — it shows as Invited while awaiting your response.
- Read the event summary, offer, and scope.
Private events: Location details may be shown when you have an organiser-origin invitation in Invited status.
2. Accept or decline
- Open the opportunity detail page.
- Read the acceptance disclosure carefully.
- Accepting shares your name, email, and phone with the organiser for event coordination.
- Choose Accept or Decline.
- Optionally add a short response message when declining.
3. Change course later
If you need to step back after accepting, check whether Withdraw is available on the opportunity page.
Withdrawal rules depend on the current relationship state.
What happens next
- Accepted: The event appears under Events I'm involved in. The organiser can coordinate with you using the contact details you agreed to share.
- Declined: The invitation is closed. You may still apply separately if the opportunity remains open and you are eligible.
Important information
- Organiser invitations are currently limited to performer and volunteer roles.
- Matching lists show privacy-safe names only — organisers do not see your contact details until you accept.
- If you applied yourself and are waiting for organiser review, that is a different workflow: member-origin Applied status, not an organiser invitation.
