What this guide covers

How to set up your performer profile, add your insurance details, and make yourself available for organiser invitations.

Before you start

Sign in to Floasis and complete your core profile details (see Getting Started with Floasis).

Steps

1. Set up your performer profile

  1. Open Profile (/portal/profile).
  2. Enable your performer profile.
  3. Enter your performer name (required to apply to perform at an event) and optional performer bio.
Your performer name and bio may be shared with event organisers when you apply for or accept performer opportunities.

2. Add a profile photo (recommended)

Upload a profile photo if you have not already. Accepted formats are JPG, PNG, or WebP, up to 10 MB. The photo is stored privately; organisers may see it during application review via a secure, time-limited link — not as a public image.

3. Add your insurance details

In the performer section of your profile you can record:

  • Insurance type
  • Provider
  • Expiry date
  • Policy number (for your records)
  • An optional insurance document upload

Privacy: When organisers review applications they see insurance type, provider, and expiry only.

Your policy number and uploaded document are not shared with organisers.

4. Make yourself available for organiser invitations

Separate toggles let you opt in to organiser matching for performer and volunteer event opportunities.

  • These preferences are for organiser-initiated matching and invitations — they do not block you from browsing event opportunities or applying yourself.
  • You can apply to perform at an event without enabling invitation matching.
  • Teaching uses a separate teaching profile and teaching invitation preference for future invitation matching; organiser teaching invitations are not available yet.

What happens next

When your performer name is set and your core profile is complete, you can browse event opportunities and apply to perform. Organisers who enable matching may also invite you if you have opted in.

Important information

  • Floasis is a platform for community events — it does not represent, manage, or brand performers.
  • Floasis does not replace venue, council, or event-specific safety requirements. See Fire Safety (/fire-safety) for performance safety resources.
  • Keep insurance expiry up to date — organisers may consider it during review.
